Job Description

The Retail Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing sales transactions. This role involves handling cash, credit/debit payments, returns, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area. Key Responsibilities: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Scan and process customer purchases accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Handle cash, card, and digital payment transactions securely. Issue receipts, refunds, and change due to customers. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure amounts are correct. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area. Ensure accuracy in billing, discounts, loyalty points, and promotional offers. Assist in bagging merchandise and managing queues efficiently. Respond to customer inquiries or direct them to appropriate staff. Report discrepancies or suspicious transactions to the Store Manager. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding financial and safety practices. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month Benefits: Health insurance Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Evening shift Morning shift Supplemental Pay: Yearly bonus Work Location: In person
