Job Title: Cashier Department: Finance & Front Office Reports To: Accounts Manager / Front Office Manager Supervises: None Job Summary: The Cashier is responsible for handling all cash and credit transactions at the front office or designated outlets, ensuring accurate billing, secure money handling, and proper guest account settlement. The role supports the financial integrity of the hotel’s daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Handle guest payments including cash, credit cards, and other modes of payment. Issue receipts and maintain accurate billing for guest services and products. Balance cash drawer and report discrepancies, if any, to the supervisor. Process refunds and void transactions as authorized. Prepare daily cash reports and hand over collections to the accounts department. Ensure proper documentation for all transactions and maintain billing records. Coordinate with front desk, restaurant, and other departments for accurate billing. Assist in foreign currency exchange (if applicable and permitted). Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism. Follow hotel cash-handling policies and security procedures at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hotel management or finance is a plus. 1–2 years of cashiering or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality. Familiarity with POS systems, billing software, and MS Excel. Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Trustworthy, honest, and discreet with financial matters. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
