Job Description

**Role:** Business Development Director for Strategic Accounts in Financial Services (FS) GCCs and India **Position Summary:** The Business Development Director (BDD) is responsible for driving results for clients, the account team, and the firm. Focusing on priority accounts, the BDD conducts rigorous account planning and management and works with the account team to build relationships across the client’s organization to ensure client satisfaction. This includes leveraging the firm’s key initiatives and cross-functional services for new business opportunities within the account. The BDD will be accountable for revenue growth, higher win rates, market share enhancement, client satisfaction, and quality assurance procedures for the account. The role includes leading the entire pursuit and proposal process, contributing to enhancing the brand of the Business Development Community and the firm in India. **Reporting to:** BD Leader for Financial Services in India **Preferred Experience Profile:** - **Role:** 15+ years of BD/sales experience, specifically in selling consulting services or application implementation services - **Companies Worked For:** Big 4 consulting firms, Global SIs, Indian SIs - **Key Relationships:** Experience in selling to leading financial services clients in India and the GCC region (similar to large global insurance providers, asset managers, and investment firms) with a strong network of active CXO-level relationships in the last 3-5 years **Candidates Not Considered Suitable:** 1. Candidates with infrastructure-related product or services sales experience (e.g., hardware, servers, storage, networking, security, etc.) 2. Candidates who have sold software products only, without any related implementation experience 3. Candidates with a history of frequent job changes 4. Candidates not handling private sector banking clients in their recent assignments (last 3-5 years) **Specific Responsibilities:** - Lead the business development and pursuit process, formulating and executing account strategies - Create client-specific solutions by integrating cross-business unit/service line offerings - Collaborate with the business operations team to oversee the development of proposals and direct account coordinators - Work with the Global Client Service Partner, participating throughout the client and engagement lifecycle - Engage in client-facing activities, including building and sustaining client relationships, negotiating pricing strategies, and addressing concerns to ensure client satisfaction - Oversee delivery and maintain ongoing relationships with clients, managing budgets, timelines, and quality of deliverables - Anticipate client needs beyond current engagements and add long-term value - Advise clients on cost management and rationalizing application portfolios - Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on investment decisions - Manage and collaborate with internal partners to ensure high customer satisfaction - Build strong global and cross-border relationships, identifying opportunities and encouraging sector teams to achieve business goals - Lead and motivate sales teams, ensuring effective sales execution
