Business Analyst - Tech Background

ABOUT THE ROLE

Corporate Professionals’ Product & Tech Team is looking for a proactive and analytical Business Analyst to join our growing technology team.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping translate business requirements into clear, actionable technology solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong analytical ability, understands technology and business processes, communicates clearly, and enjoys solving business problems through structured thinking and data-driven analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Understand business objectives, processes, challenges, and requirements.
• 
  Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
• 
  Conduct stakeholder discussions and requirement-gathering sessions.
• 
  Translate business requirements into clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• 
  Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• 
  Analyze existing business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• 
  Create process flows, wireframes, user journeys, and functional specifications where required.
• 
  Assist development teams in clarifying functional requirements and resolving requirement-related issues.
• 
  Coordinate with QA teams to ensure that developed solutions meet business requirements.
• 
  Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenarios, validation, and defect clarification.
• 
  Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, inconsistencies, and business insights.
• 
  Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and requirement documentation for stakeholders.
• 
  Track requirements, changes, dependencies, and project deliverables.
• 
  Identify risks, dependencies, and potential requirement gaps at an early stage.
• 
  Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• 
  Continuously improve business processes and contribute to technology-driven business solutions.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS

Business Analysis Skills

• 
  Strong requirement gathering and documentation skills.
• 
  Good understanding of SDLC and software development processes.
• 
  Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• 
  Ability to convert business requirements into functional requirements and user stories.
• 
  Knowledge of process mapping and workflow analysis.
• 
  Understanding of UAT and software testing processes.
• 
  Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• 
  Ability to identify business problems and recommend practical solutions.

Technical Skills

• 
  Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
• 
  Experience with Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, sorting, filtering, lookups, and data analysis.
• 
  Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.
• 
  Understanding of databases and relational data concepts.
• 
  Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• 
  Basic understanding of APIs and web applications.
• 
  Basic understanding of software architecture and development processes.
• 
  Familiarity with Figma, Balsamiq, or similar wireframing/prototyping tools is an advantage.
• 
  Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools is a plus.

EDUCATION

EXPERIENCE

1–2 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role.
