About the role

We are building a Paid Account Management business that helps sellers launch, grow and scale their online business. The Business Analyst converts program data into actionable business insights — owning the metrics, reports and dashboards that drive decisions across business development, account management and leadership.

Responsibilities

1. Own the design, development and maintenance of the program's metrics, reports and dashboards to drive key business decisions
2. Translate complex or ambiguous business problems into analysis requirements, and turn data into clear, consumable insights for leadership and business teams
3. Identify and execute deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, root causes and areas of opportunity, and present written recommendations
4. Support business planning — forecasts, target-setting inputs and scenario views as the program scales
5. Ensure data quality and consistency across the program's systems; build the single source of truth for program data
6. Define data and reporting requirements as the program's platforms and tools are built
7. Partner with stakeholders across business development, account management, finance and leadership to power the business review cadence and decision-making with timely reporting
8. Drive automation across reporting and analytics — automate recurring reports, build self-serve dashboards, and use scripting and AI tools to eliminate manual work as the program grows

Basic qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, statistics or a related quantitative field; MBA preferred
2. 3–6 years in analytics or business analysis roles; e-commerce, retail or internet industry preferred
3. Experience developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
4. Advanced Excel, including working with large datasets to extract and transform data; experience building dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
5. Working knowledge of SQL preferred; Python or R a plus
6. Strong written, oral and presentation skills; comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
