Job Title: Business Development Executive / Manager Location: Bangalore Department: Business Development / Strategy / Sales - Food Industry Reports To: Director / CEO ⸻ Role Objective: To identify new business opportunities, foster relationships with potential clients, develop strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. The Executive focuses on execution and outreach, while the Manager also shapes strategy, oversees execution, and leads teams. Food Industry experience is a must ⸻ Key Responsibilities: • Research and identify new markets, sectors, and customer profiles. • Generate leads via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, trade events, etc. • Schedule and conduct client meetings and presentations. • Assist in drafting proposals, quotations, and agreements. • Maintain a CRM database and follow up with leads systematically. • Support client onboarding and internal coordination. • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals. • Identify partnership opportunities, new verticals, and strategic accounts. • Build and lead a BD team, define targets, and mentor junior executives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, finance) to shape offerings. • Negotiate high-value contracts and close complex deals. • Monitor KPIs and present progress reports to leadership. ⸻ Skills & Competencies: • Strong communication, persuasion, and presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building ability • Strategic thinking (Manager) and hands-on selling skills (Executive) • Industry-specific knowledge (can be customized per sector) • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with travel ⸻ Qualifications: • Bachelor’s (mandatory), MBA preferred; 5–8 years of experience in business development, client acquisition, or worked in General Trade ⸻ KPIs / Success Metrics: • Number of qualified leads generated • Conversion ratio of leads to clients • Monthly/quarterly revenue from new clients • Key partnerships signed and activated • Team performance metrics • Client satisfaction and repeat business rate Show more Show less
