Design and integrate airframe hardware for unmanned air vehicles, managing the full development lifecycle from concept to flight testing. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-performance, resilient systems for complex environments. Responsibilities Design and integrate airframe hardware for unmanned air vehicles. Own designs from concept to production, applying first-principles physics. Lead technical efforts to define requirements, propose solutions, and verify designs. Spearhead design reviews, conduct structural, thermal, and electrical analyses, and manage vendor interactions. Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition designs to production. Lead the manufacturing process to ensure quality and efficiency. Actively enhance team tools, templates, processes, and standards. Required Qualifications 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in advanced air vehicle programs. Expertise in integrating mechanical subsystems. Proficient in CAD and manufacturing methods (CNC, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing). Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, and mechanisms. Rapid prototyping experience and composite material knowledge.
