About the Role The Lead Designer will translate the brand’s design philosophy into cohesive, globally relevant collections. This role leads the entire design cycle—from research and concept development to sampling, fitting, styling guidance, and production handover—ensuring that every piece reflects Bodice’s aesthetic clarity, technical rigor, and commercial intent. The position requires both design leadership and hands-on excellence. What You Will Lead: Design Direction Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, and design direction grounded in the brand’s identity. Conduct ongoing research into global trends, materials, construction techniques, and innovative finishes. Guide styling and visual expression for campaigns, photoshoots, lookbooks, and digital assets. Collection & Product Development Design complete collections across ready-to-wear and custom categories, ensuring quality, fit, and finish. Create sketches, flats, and tech packs, and oversee sampling, print, and embroidery development. Approve final samples and align design intent with production feasibility, cost, and timelines. Brand & Commercial Alignment Identify hero styles, margin drivers, and key looks early in the design process. Integrate customer and sales insights into future collections without compromising aesthetic direction. Review and approve creative outputs such as lookbooks, campaign visuals, and storyboards. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with pattern makers, tailors, sourcing, and production teams to execute designs accurately. Partner with the digital team to ensure cohesive styling across e-commerce, campaigns, and social media. Provide visual merchandising guidance to maintain consistent brand storytelling in-store. Team Leadership Mentor and guide the Designer(s) to ensure strong creative output and organised workflow. Ensure clarity of deliverables and adherence to design calendar milestones. Maintain high standards of design discipline, documentation, and creative problem-solving across the team. You are ideal for this if you have: Degree in Fashion Design from NIFT, NID, CSM, LCF, or an equivalent global institute. 5–7 years of experience in luxury or premium womenswear. Strong portfolio demonstrating aesthetic clarity, construction knowledge, and versatility. Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW and CLO 3D. Deep knowledge of fabrics, tailoring, surface developments, and finishing techniques. Ability to balance creativity with technical feasibility and commercial relevance.
