Blasting Technician

As a Blasting Technician at Shafeltech, your primary responsibility will be to operate blasting machines to prepare surfaces for thermal spray coating. You will be tasked with selecting the appropriate abrasive media based on the material type and monitoring blasting pressure, nozzle distance, and time to ensure uniform roughness. It will be essential for you to inspect blasted components for surface profile and cleanliness while maintaining the blasting equipment and ensuring a clean working area. In this role, you will need to adhere strictly to safety standards and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaboration with coating technicians will be necessary to ensure that surface preparation standards are consistently met. Additionally, you will be required to record and maintain daily production and quality logs. This is a full-time, permanent position located at No.1, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Thirumdivakkam, Chennai 600044. Proficiency in English and Tamil is preferred for effective communication in the workplace.
