Social Media Executive – Job Description (JD) Job Title: Social Media Executive Department: Marketing / Digital Media Location: Mohali Reports to: Social Media Manager / Marketing Manager Job Summary: The Social Media Executive is responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring the company’s social media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and drive engagement. This role requires a creative mindset, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of social media platforms and trends. Key Responsibilities: Develop, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) Plan and implement a content calendar that aligns with brand goals and campaigns. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner. Track and analyze campaign performance and key metrics (engagement, reach, traffic, conversions) to evaluate success. Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, influencers, and other stakeholders to create engaging content. Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, platforms, and best practices. Assist in running paid advertising campaigns across social media platforms. Work with customer service or PR teams for social listening and online reputation management. Support in influencer outreach and partnerships when required. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in social media management or a similar role. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite). Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.) Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Basic graphic design skills (using Canva, Photoshop, etc.) are a plus. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Preferred Qualifications (Optional): Experience with video editing or content creation. Understanding of SEO and content marketing.
