BIM Engineer - Electrical (GCC Projects)

This is a full-time role at our office in Hyderabad, India. Remote work, hybrid work, or working from any other city is not possible. If you live outside Hyderabad, apply only if you will relocate to Hyderabad before joining.

We are looking for an experienced electrical BIM engineer with at least 5 years of electrical design and modelling on GCC projects, to own the electrical side of our infrastructure and building packages for Saudi Arabia.

About Invicta-Tech

Invicta-Tech is a digital design and construction advisory firm specialising in BIM and technology-driven delivery for complex projects across KSA and the GCC. We work with contractors, consultants and asset owners to turn models, drawings and point clouds into measurable, client-ready deliverables aligned with ISO 19650, project EIRs and BEPs.

Our work spans BIM production (LOD 200-500), model coordination and clash management, BIM automation and asset handover, across infrastructure & landscape, airports, hospitality, giga projects, industrial and logistics facilities. Our delivery team is based in Hyderabad, India.

The role

You will design, model and check electrical systems for our projects in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, and be the electrical reviewer on our packages before they go to the client. You will work with our lead design engineer, BIM coordinators and modellers in Hyderabad, and take part in client and design-team calls.

What you will do

Design and model electrical systems in Revit MEP and AutoCAD: LV power distribution, lighting (including external and street lighting), small power, earthing and lightning protection, containment and cable routes.

Prepare calculations and back-up: load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop and short-circuit checks, and lighting calculations.

Model external electrical networks with the civil team: duct banks, cable routes, feeder pillars and street lighting layouts.

Produce and check electrical drawings and schedules from the model: layouts, single-line diagrams, panel schedules and details.

Review electrical models and drawings from other engineers and modellers, and check them against the project specifications, client comments and authority requirements before submission.

Run clash detection in Navisworks and resolve electrical clashes with the other disciplines.

Respond to client and consultant comments, and track them to closure.

Guide junior electrical modellers on standards, families and drawing quality.

What we are looking for (must-have)

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or Electrical and Electronics).

5+ years of electrical design and BIM work, with at least part of it on projects in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC.

Strong hands-on Revit MEP (electrical) and AutoCAD.

Working knowledge of the codes and authority requirements used on GCC projects (for example IEC/BS, NFPA where relevant, and local utility requirements).

Able to do the core calculations yourself: load, cable sizing, voltage drop.

Clear written and spoken English for client comments and calls.

Full-time, on-site in Hyderabad.

Nice to have

Street lighting and external electrical network design for masterplans or giga projects.

DIALux, ETAP, Amtech or similar calculation software.

Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360.

Experience with Saudi utility and authority submissions.

ELV / ICT or fire alarm exposure.
