Job Summary: The Technician – 2-Wheeler (Hero) will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and servicing of Hero motorcycles and scooters to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The role requires technical expertise in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and providing high-quality service in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Hero 2-wheelers (motorcycles and scooters). Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including engine, transmission, braking systems, electrical circuits, and fuel systems. Conduct test rides to assess the condition of the vehicle after service. Follow safety guidelines and ensure a clean and safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and job sheets. Ensure the correct usage of tools and equipment to avoid damage and ensure precision in work. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and offering technical advice when necessary. Ensure parts inventory is well-stocked and manage the ordering of parts when required. Perform quality checks to ensure vehicles meet Hero’s standards before returning to customers. Stay updated with the latest technical bulletins, product updates, and service techniques from Hero. Skills & Qualifications: Diploma or certification in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a 2-wheeler mechanic, preferably with Hero brand motorcycles. Strong technical knowledge of Hero 2-wheeler vehicles, including their engines, systems, and components. Ability to diagnose issues and solve mechanical and electrical problems. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in motorcycle repairs. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to manage time efficiently. Knowledge of safety standards and procedures. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a 2-wheeler technician, preferably with Hero brand motorcycles or similar. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment as needed. Ability to work in a workshop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and vehicle fumes. Additional Requirements: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities. A passion for motorcycles and a willingness to stay updated on new models and technologies.
