Job Summary A transportation fleet maintenance incharge is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of a company's transportation fleet. Responsibilities and Duties 1. Submitting Report of availability of maintenance vehicles from time to time. 2. Authorizing payments of spare part vendors. 3. Inventory management (Purchase / used data ) 4. Prepare stock report of spare parts and maintenance on daily basis. 5. Driver Management : Duty of the fleet manager for many companies is to manage the drivers. This includes hiring, training, and scheduling, 6. Tracking fleet metrics : Fleet managers must then create reports using the metrics obtained from vehicle tracking . These reports list a fleet's key performance indicators (KPIs). Fleet reporting and analysis. On the back of vehicle tracking , fleet managers must then turn the metrics generated into reports. 7. Vehicle inspection and maintenance : V ehicle servicing and inspection and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency, among other duties. Maintaining thorough records on vehicle inspections, maintenance activities, and registrations 8.Ensuring driver safety 9.
