Tendering Duties: Study and analyze tender documents (drawings, specifications, BOQs, contract conditions). Prepare inquiries to vendors/subcontractors and analyze their quotations. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and cost control teams for pricing. Prepare and compile technical and commercial proposals. Perform quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates. Conduct risk analysis and value engineering studies for tenders. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and consultants. Ensure timely submission of bids in line with client requirements. 2. Planning Duties: Develop detailed project schedules using planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project). Define project milestones, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource allocation. Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly. Provide look-ahead schedules and progress reports. Analyze deviations from baseline and recommend corrective actions. Prepare project cash flow, manpower histograms, and progress curves. Assist in claims and delay analysis when required. 3. Coordination and Communication: Coordinate between tendering, design, procurement, and execution teams. Communicate with clients and consultants regarding project timelines and deliverables. Support procurement in finalizing vendors and subcontractors based on tender data. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in planning. Key Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles. Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent numerical skills. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to handle multiple tenders/projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in planning and/or tendering in the construction industry. Experience in residential , commercial building constructions advantageous. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus. Coordinate MEP works with architectural and structural designs. Identify potential clashes and propose solutions using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software. Project Execution: Supervise MEP installation works at the site (HVAC, firefighting, electrical, and plumbing). Monitor subcontractors’ work to ensure quality and compliance with drawings and standards. Ensure proper installation of MEP systems as per approved shop drawings.
