Department: Audit & Assurance Location: Borivali East, Mumbai Position: Stock Audit Executive / Senior Executive Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to conduct stock audits on behalf of banks and financial institutions. The candidate will be responsible for physical stock verification, assessment of drawing power, working capital finance audits, and verification of book debts and receivables to ensure compliance with bank requirements. Key Responsibilities • Conduct stock audits on behalf of banks and financial institutions for borrowers availing working capital facilities. • Perform physical verification of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and stock records. • Verify stock statements submitted by borrowers to banks and reconcile them with books of accounts and supporting documents. • Calculate drawing power (DP) based on eligible stock and receivables after considering applicable margins, creditors, and bank norms. • Conduct audits of working capital facilities, including cash credit (CC) and overdraft (OD) accounts. • Verify debtors, sundry receivables, and book debts, including ageing analysis and identification of overdue or ineligible receivables. • Check insurance coverage, stock registers, purchase and sales records, and other relevant documentation. • Identify discrepancies in stock, receivables, and financial records and report irregularities or potential risks. • Prepare stock audit reports, drawing power statements, audit observations, and supporting working papers. • Visit client premises, warehouses, factories, and other locations for physical stock verification. • Coordinate with bank officials, borrowers, and client finance teams to obtain information and resolve audit queries. • Ensure timely submission of audit reports in accordance with bank guidelines and prescribed formats. Required Qualifications & Experience • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / semi-qualified CA. • Relevant experience in stock audits, bank audits, or working capital audits will be preferred. • Knowledge of inventory verification, drawing power calculation, receivables ageing, and banking documentation. • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software. • Willingness to travel for stock verification visits as required. Required Skills • Strong analytical and numerical skills. • Attention to detail and accuracy. • Good communication and report-writing skills. • Ability to work independently and meet audit deadlines. • Professionalism while dealing with bank officials and borrower representatives.
