Backend Engineer (Supabase and Postgres)

Yaari is a UK home-services marketplace launching in Birmingham in January 2027, built by our team in Bengaluru (Brigade Road). We are a small team where every person ships real work from week one.

You own the part of Yaari nobody sees: the database, the security rules that keep each person's data private, and the server functions behind sign-in, payments, calls and notifications. You report to the CTO.

What you will do

• Write database changes as migrations and test them on local and staging databases first
• Write and review row-level security rules so users only see their own data
• Build edge functions in TypeScript (Deno): sign-in codes, Stripe payments, push, masked calls
• Add features to our React staff console
• Watch logs and errors after each release

You must have

• Strong SQL and Postgres: joins, indexes, transactions and reading a query plan
• TypeScript or JavaScript on the server
• Git and pull requests
• B.E./B.Tech, BCA or MCA in computer science or a related subject, or equal proven experience

Good to have: Supabase and row-level security; Stripe or another payments API; React.

How we interview: 30-minute call, a SQL and API take-home task (3 hours), then a 1-hour review with the CTO.

We can only consider people who can join by 1 December 2026 or are already serving notice.

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
