Backend Developer

As a Backend Developer at Expertbells, you will be a key member of our core tech team based in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. You will be responsible for developing robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that drive our web and mobile applications. Your work will play a crucial role in enabling thousands of users to register businesses, raise funds, and access mentorship through our digital platform. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining backend services using Node.js, designing and managing MongoDB databases, and building and optimizing RESTful APIs. You will ensure the security, scalability, and performance of the APIs, collaborate closely with frontend developers and DevOps teams, and integrate third-party services as necessary. Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading backend applications will also be part of your role. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a backend developer, with proficiency in Node.js and MongoDB. A strong understanding of Express.js and backend architecture, along with experience in building and securing RESTful APIs, is essential. Familiarity with API authentication methods such as JWT and OAuth, as well as performance optimization, caching, and database indexing, will be beneficial. Experience with version control systems like Git/GitHub and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment are also required. It would be advantageous if you have experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, or Firebase, and familiarity with microservices or serverless architecture. Knowledge of technologies such as socket.io for real-time applications, CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and push notifications would be considered a plus.
