Required Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 1 year experience in Purchase Department. Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus Preference will be given to candidates from the field of Sheet Metal Fabrication. Role Tasks: Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate terms, conditions, and contracts to secure the best value. Develop evaluation criteria to assess suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed. Verify purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in specifications and quantities. Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering of supplies. Coordinate with other departments to ascertain purchasing needs. Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues such as late deliveries or quality concerns. Maintain accurate records of purchases, prices, and inventory levels. Analyse market trends to inform purchasing strategies. Recommend changes to procurement practices based on market insights. Oversee the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Review and clear outstanding balances with creditors, ensuring timely payments. Monitor daily inventory levels, placing orders as needed to avoid stockouts. Ensure seamless procurement operations, from indent processing to payment. Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and performance. Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Excel. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in data management. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Ensure that all procured materials meet the required quality standards and specifications In-depth understanding of procurement processes and best practices. Familiarity with supplier sourcing and evaluation techniques. Knowledge of inventory management principles. Understanding of market dynamics and pricing trends. Awareness of relevant regulations and compliance standards in procurement. Ability to map vendor costing to determine gross/net margins.
