Job Title: Azure DevOps to GitHub Migration Engineer (L3/L4 Senior Hands-on Engineer)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced L3/L4 Azure DevOps to GitHub Migration Engineer to drive the end-to-end engineering migration of legacy Azure Repositories and Azure Pipelines to GitHub Enterprise Cloud under Project Citadel / Aperture. In this role, you will lead repository migrations, convert complex pipelines into secure GitHub Actions, reconfigure enterprise governance and deployment gates, and partner directly with application owners to ensure seamless transition and cutover.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment & Discovery: Evaluate Azure DevOps organizations, projects, repositories, branching policies, service connections, and migration dependencies.
• Repository Migration: Migrate Azure Repos along with full version history and necessary metadata to designated greenfield GitHub Enterprise Cloud organizations.
• Pipeline Modernization: Convert Azure Pipelines (YAML and classic build/release definitions) into secure, optimized GitHub Actions workflows and reusable actions.
• Governance & Security Configuration: Reconfigure pipeline approvals, secrets, service principals, environments, branch protection rules, and deployment gates in GitHub.
• Wave Planning & Execution: Plan and execute repository/pipeline migration waves, cutovers, smoke testing, acceptance checks, and formal rollbacks.
• Dependency & Artifact Adaptation: Adapt build scripts, Terraform pipelines, Dockerfiles, and Artifactory package URLs to approved internal endpoints and ChainGuard secure sources.
• Troubleshooting & Validation: Utilize GitHub runners, Azure DevOps agents, Git, APIs, scripting, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), Bash/PowerShell/Python, AWS, and JFrog integrations to independently troubleshoot and validate application builds.
• Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate directly with repository owners to capture requirements, schedule migration windows, and secure functional sign-offs.
• Agile & ITIL Operations: Participate in daily scrums, track migration statuses, manage ServiceNow tasks/change tickets, respond to P1/P2 issues, and draft Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation.

Key Requirements & Technical Skills

• Core Migration Expertise: Deep hands-on experience migrating from Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines) to GitHub Enterprise Cloud and GitHub Actions.
• Scripting & OS Skills: Proficiency in Bash, PowerShell, and Python, coupled with solid Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration experience.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, and containerization pipelines.
• Artifacts & Integrations: Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory integration, ChainGuard sources, Git CLI/APIs, and self-hosted runners/agents.
• Soft Skills & Professional Approach: Strong direct customer collaboration skills, independent execution capability, and familiarity with financial-services change-control standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant professional certifications in GitHub, Azure, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or JFrog Artifactory.
• Prior experience operating within financial-services or highly regulated ITIL change-management frameworks.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,850,000.00 per year
