Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using

  Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Spark

  .
• Implement scalable data storage and processing solutions leveraging

  Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and SQL Database

  .
• Write efficient code in

  Python and Scala

  to process large datasets and optimize data workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data models.
  
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices across all data platforms.
  
• Monitor and optimize performance of data pipelines, troubleshooting issues proactively.
  
• Stay updated with emerging data engineering tools, technologies, and best practices within the Azure ecosystem.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  

• 7+ years of experience

  in Data Engineering with strong exposure to

  Azure Cloud Services

  .
• Hands-on expertise with

  Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics

  .
• Strong programming skills in

  Python and Scala

  .
• Proficiency in

  SQL

  — including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Deep understanding of

  Apache Spark

  for data processing and transformation.
• Experience with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of

  data warehousing, ETL frameworks

  , and

  data architecture principles

  .

Good to Have

• Experience with

  Azure DevOps

  ,

  Power BI

  , or

  Delta Lake

  .
• Knowledge of

  machine learning data preparation

  and

  data quality frameworks

  .
• Azure certifications such as

  DP-203 (Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure)

  are a plus.
