The Role

Geekonomy is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design secure, reliable cloud solutions and lead technical delivery.

The role combines hands-on engineering, architecture ownership, team leadership and stakeholder communication. You will work with engineering and business teams to translate requirements into practical designs and well-managed implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design AWS architectures covering compute, storage, networking, identity, security and monitoring.
• Assess existing environments and recommend improvements to reliability, performance and operational efficiency.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, implementation plans and acceptance criteria.
• Lead engineers across cloud infrastructure, automation, security and operations.
• Build and review infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Implement access controls, encryption, logging, backup and recovery arrangements.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell or similar tools.
• Plan testing, production changes, recovery procedures and operational handover.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity and performance issues.
• Estimate cloud costs and implement cost-management controls.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation and operating procedures.
• Communicate technical decisions, dependencies and risks clearly to stakeholders.
• Follow confidentiality, information-security and change-management requirements.

Required Skills

• Proven experience designing and delivering production AWS environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS networking, storage, compute, identity and security services.
• Experience with Amazon VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Understanding of private connectivity, routing, DNS, firewalls and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, high availability and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux infrastructure.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery.
• Strong documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with hybrid environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with identity federation, security reviews and operational governance.
• Experience establishing reusable engineering standards and automation.

Pay: ₹480,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
