Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Accountant to join our India delivery team. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting client deliverables across geographies, primarily the US. Key Responsibilities Maintain day-to-day books of accounts in Tally Prime / QuickBooks / Xero Manage bank and credit card reconciliations; resolve discrepancies Process accounts payable and receivable; generate aging reports Prepare GST and TDS workings; assist with statutory filings Support month-end closing activities including journal entries and provisions Generate basic MIS reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis Maintain documentation for all statutory and accounting records Assist in internal/statutory audits and prepare schedules Provide support to offshore delivery teams and client engagements What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of accounting experience B.Com / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA or equivalent Proficiency in Tally Prime , QuickBooks Online , or Xero Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian statutory norms Strong MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) Effective written and verbal communication Prior experience in BPO or outsourced accounting is a strong plus Basic familiarity with international accounting standards preferred Why Join Us? The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented US Tax Specialist to lead tax compliance and planning initiatives for our diverse portfolio of US clients. You will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, ensuring our clients remain compliant while identifying strategic opportunities for tax savings. Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation & Filing: Expertly prepare and review complex US Federal and State tax returns, specifically focusing on: Form 1040: Individual Income Tax Returns. Form 1065: Partnership Returns (including K-1 distributions). Form 1120 / 1120S: Corporate and S-Corp Tax Returns. Tax Planning: Collaborate with US business owners to develop proactive tax-saving strategies and year-end projections. Compliance & Research: Stay current with evolving IRS regulations and TCJA updates; conduct technical research on complex tax issues. Quality Control: Perform multi-level reviews of workpapers to ensure 100% accuracy before filing. Client Advisory: Support the accounting team in aligning bookkeeping data with tax requirements to ensure seamless year-end closing. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Qualified CA, CPA (US), Enrolled Agent (EA), or Semi-Qualified Professional. Technical Expertise: * Deep understanding of Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S . Proficiency in US Tax Software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH ProSystem , or GoSystem ). Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with QuickBooks Online or Xero . Experience: 2–3 years for Qualified professionals or 5+ years for Semi-Qualified candidates in a US Tax KPO or outsourcing environment.
