The Phosphating Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring the phosphating line to apply protective coatings to metal components, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a good understanding of chemical processes. Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor the phosphating line, including tanks for cleaning, rinsing, phosphating, and post-treatment. Monitor and adjust chemical concentrations, temperature, and immersion times according to established procedures and specifications. Perform regular chemical titrations and other tests to ensure bath parameters are within specified ranges. Identify and troubleshoot common issues with the phosphating process, reporting complex problems to the supervisor or maintenance. Collaborate with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or diploma in chemistry, chemical processing, or a related field is a plus. Ability to read and interpret process instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and quality specifications. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and quality control methods.
