Audit Manager

Key Responsibilities

Branch Audit & Compliance

• Conduct scheduled and surprise onsite audits at company branches.
• Perform offsite audits through MIS reports, transaction records, and internal systems.
• Verify branch transactions, approvals, supporting documents, and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify operational discrepancies, policy deviations, and internal control weaknesses.

Financial & Expense Audit

• Audit branch expenses, vendor payments, petty cash, and supporting invoices.
• Verify compliance with expense limits, approval matrices, and budgetary controls.
• Review financial reconciliations and identify unauthorized or unsupported transactions.

Transaction & Stock Verification

• Verify gold and silver purchase records, valuation details, customer KYC, and payment documentation.
• Review gold loan settlement and investment plan transactions.
• Conduct physical stock verification and reconciliation of precious metal inventory.
• Examine stock transfers, registers, and supporting records.

Risk Management & Vigilance

• Identify suspicious transactions, potential financial irregularities, and process violations.
• Conduct independent verification and report findings with supporting evidence.
• Recommend corrective actions to strengthen internal controls and prevent financial losses.

Audit Reporting

• Prepare audit reports highlighting observations, risk levels, and corrective recommendations.
• Maintain audit checklists, compliance registers, and observation trackers.
• Coordinate with branch teams and management to ensure timely closure of audit findings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree
• 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, branch audit, financial audit, or operational audit.
• Experience in NBFCs, gold loan companies, banking, jewellery, or financial services will be preferred.
• Working knowledge of financial reconciliation, internal controls, KYC, and compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and audit documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.

Travel Requirements

The position is based at our New Town, Kolkata office. The selected candidate must be willing to undertake frequent official travel for branch audits, including outstation visits to West Bengal, Assam, Punjab, and other company locations as required.

Official travel expenses will be reimbursed according to company policy.
