Role Overview
We are looking for a responsible, proactive, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager / Store Manager to manage day-to-day café operations, lead the store team, ensure excellent customer service, and support business growth. The ideal candidate should have experience in café operations, team management, inventory control, and customer relationship management, along with the ability to identify new business opportunities and develop customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Operations: Manage daily café operations, ensure smooth functioning of the store, maintain operational standards, and oversee opening and closing procedures.
- Team Management: Supervise store staff, allocate daily responsibilities, monitor performance, manage attendance, and ensure effective teamwork.
- Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer experience, handle customer queries and complaints, resolve issues professionally, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory records, coordinate replenishment, conduct regular stock checks, and minimise wastage.
- Business Development: Identify potential business opportunities, explore new customer segments, connect with nearby cafés, restaurants, hotels, and other businesses, and support the expansion of the company's customer base.
- Lead Generation: Identify and develop new business leads through market visits, networking, online research, and customer referrals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Interact confidently with existing and prospective customers, understand their requirements, introduce company products, and build long-term business relationships.
- Market Visits & Customer Meetings: Visit potential customers, meet café owners and managers, understand their coffee requirements, and introduce suitable products and offerings.
- Product Presentation & Sampling: Explain coffee blends, product features, and applications. Coordinate product samples, tasting sessions, and follow-ups with prospective customers.
- Product Knowledge & Quality: Maintain good knowledge of coffee products, blends, brewing methods, and preparation standards. Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
- Store Maintenance & Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, equipment standards, and overall store presentation in accordance with company guidelines.
- Reporting & Coordination: Maintain daily operational records, prepare reports, track customer visits and business leads, monitor store performance, and coordinate with management and internal teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in café operations, hospitality, or the food and beverage industry.
- Good understanding of café operations, coffee products, and customer service.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience in team handling, inventory management, and store operations.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and develop customer relationships.
- Confidence in interacting with café owners, managers, and potential customers.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and business development activities.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong organisational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for store performance and business development activities.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
