Associate Assurance

About the Role

We are looking for an accounting professional who will be responsible for preparing and maintaining Project Accounts / Cost of Production (CoP) for our clients.

The role requires strong accounting fundamentals, excellent Excel skills and the ability to work with project teams, production teams and the audit team to ensure that project costs are properly recorded, classified and reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Project Accounts / Cost of Production (CoP).
• Record, classify and reconcile project expenses under appropriate cost heads.
• Work with supporting documents, invoices, vouchers and other project records.
• Prepare project-wise expense statements and schedules.
• Regularly reconcile accounts with the underlying project records.
• Identify discrepancies, missing documents and unusual costs and bring them to the attention of the senior team.
• Work closely with the Field and Assurance teams to obtain and validate project information.
• Maintain Excel-based working files and project MIS.
• Assist in preparation of project cost reports and closing of project accounts.
• Ensure that accounts and supporting schedules are maintained in an organised and audit-ready manner.
• Coordinate with client/project personnel wherever clarification or additional information is required.

Key Skills

Essential

• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
• Strong command of MS Excel.
• Good understanding of ledgers, reconciliations, expense classification and basic financial reporting.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data with accuracy.
• Good attention to detail without losing sight of the overall project.
• Ability to independently follow through on assigned work.

Qualification & Experience

• Inter CA / CA Inter with approximately 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
• Bcom/MCom with approximately 4 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
• Experience in preparing accounts, accounting software and working extensively on Excel.

Communication & Behavioural Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse team comprising accountants, auditors, production personnel and client representatives.
• Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when information is incomplete.
• Practical approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility for the work assigned.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, project-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the Media & Entertainment industry.
• Particularly valuable: experience working with film / television / OTT production houses.
• Familiarity with production accounting, Cost of Production, production budgets or project-based accounting.

Summary

We are looking for someone who is strong on the basics, good with numbers and Excel, and willing to take ownership of the accounts.

Industry experience is an advantage, but strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to learn the production environment are more important.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
