About the Role
We are hiring a Jewellery Retail Trainer for a premium organized jewellery retail program in Bengaluru. You will train and coach store teams on jewellery product knowledge, consultative selling and customer experience, and you will see the results in the stores you train.
The title is Training Manager or Assistant Training Manager, depending on your experience and the level of responsibility you have handled.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and on-the-floor training for sales associates, store managers and new joiners
- Train teams on gold, diamond, gemstone and platinum jewellery, including purity, BIS hallmarking and HUID, the 4Cs of diamonds, certification, pricing and making charges
- Train staff on consultative selling, handling customer objections, upselling, cross-selling, and bridal and festive selling
- Run induction and onboarding programs for new store hires
- Visit stores to observe floor performance, give feedback and coach staff one-on-one
- Measure training impact through pre and post assessments, certification tests and sales-conversion tracking
- Update training content and playbooks when new collections and campaigns launch
- Coordinate with client store operations and HR teams on training schedules
- Maintain training records and report attendance, assessment scores and skill gaps
- Guide and mentor junior trainers (Training Manager level)
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in jewellery retail, in store sales, store management or in-store training
- Experience at an organized jewellery brand such as Tanishq, Bluestone, CaratLane, Kalyan, Malabar, Joyalukkas, Senco, PC Jeweller or a similar brand
- Hands-on experience training or coaching jewellery store teams
- Strong knowledge of gold, diamond and gemstone products, hallmarking and certification
- Ability to calculate and explain jewellery pricing, including gold rate, making charges, stone value and exchange
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills in English, plus Kannada or Hindi
- Based in Bengaluru, or able to relocate immediately
Good to Have
- Train-the-Trainer certification
- Experience building training modules and assessments for store staff
- Experience training across multiple stores or cities
- Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel
