Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in manufacturing, heavy machinery and industrial equipment procurement. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, vendor development, commercial negotiations and managing high-value procurement projects, particularly involving large-scale machinery, industrial piping and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational and project requirements.
• Manage end-to-end procurement of heavy machinery, industrial equipment, piping materials and engineering components.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable domestic and international vendors.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

2. Machinery & Piping Procurement

• Handle large-scale procurement of industrial machinery, plant equipment and capital goods.
• Manage procurement of Carbon Steel (CS), Stainless Steel (SS), Alloy Steel and other industrial piping materials.
• Procure pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, gaskets and related piping accessories.
• Understand technical specifications, BOQs, material grades, drawings and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams for technical evaluation and material approvals.

3. Vendor Management & Negotiations

• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and contractors.
• Conduct commercial negotiations, cost analysis and price benchmarking.
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, pricing and service.
• Negotiate contracts, payment terms and delivery schedules.

4. CAPEX & Project Procurement

• Manage high-value procurement projects involving machinery, plant setup and industrial piping.
• Handle procurement budgets and capital expenditure projects worth ₹100+ Crores.
• Monitor procurement schedules, project milestones and material delivery.
• Identify procurement risks and implement cost-saving initiatives.

5. Team Management & Coordination

• Lead and manage the procurement team.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, finance, quality and project management teams.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and internal processes.
