Assistant Manager – Impact Partnerships (Fundraising)

Position/Role Overview:

At Raintree Foundation, fundraising is more than mobilising resources; it is about building meaningful partnerships that enable lasting social impact. The Assistant Manager – Impact Partnerships will play a key role in strengthening the Foundation’s fundraising efforts by identifying funding opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, developing compelling proposals, and ensuring effective donor engagement and stewardship.

The role requires a proactive, research-oriented and relationship-driven professional who can connect the Foundation’s mission and programmes with the right funding partners, across national and international platforms. The individual will work closely with internal teams and leadership to translate programme outcomes into compelling funding propositions, build a strong pipeline of prospective donors, and support the Foundation’s long-term resource mobilisation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect research, Donor Engagement and Relationship Management:

● Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify potential donors, partners, and funding opportunities aligned with the organization's programs and initiatives. (national and international)

● Updating and maintaining records and statistics on donors and donations.

● Utilize donor databases, wealth screening tools, and other resources to assess donor capacity, interests, and philanthropic priorities.

● Identify new potential donors via secondary research and own the data room, along with exploratory calls and grant applications (national + international)

● Undertake donor management and reporting – coordinate with internal teams for data and insights, track and write donor reports, send regular updates to donors, facilitate field visits

Grant Proposal Development:

● Lead the development and submission of high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications to secure institutional funding from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making entities.

● Ensure compliance with donor requirements, guidelines, and reporting obligations throughout the grant lifecycle.

● Research and apply for grant opportunities by establishing a systematic process for partner outreach and relationship management

Fundraising Events and Campaigns:

● Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals to engage donors, raise awareness, and generate financial support for the organization's programs and initiatives.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling messaging, marketing materials, and donor communications for fundraising initiatives.

● Manage some funder relationships independently + support the CEO or Founder in managing others

Budgeting and Financial Management:

● Monitor fundraising performance against targets, track revenue and expenses, and provide regular reports and analysis to senior leadership.

● Develop and maintain income and expenditure tracking systems

Education - Graduation in any field

Years of Experience - Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in in the non profit sector.

Industry Background - Fundraising in Development/Social Sector

Technical Expertise - Proficiency in grant writing, relevant software, donor databases, and CRM systems preferred.
