Assistant Electrical BIM Engineer

As a member of our team at Mott MacDonald, you will play a crucial role in model building and drawings of building services elements for Electrical services including lighting power, earthing, and lightning protection systems, as well as schematics, schedules, etc. Your responsibilities will also extend to creating a 3D model of physical substations in Revit, preparing 2D drawings, and performing basic electrical design calculations. Additionally, you will be involved in QA/QC procedures, ensuring attention to quality and technical correctness while maintaining smooth coordination with other Mechanical, Structural, and Architectural services to deliver projects within specified time limits. To excel in this role, you should possess an ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and have hands-on experience in Electrical modeling for building services using Revit software. Previous exposure to substation projects or Oil & Gas projects will be highly advantageous, and familiarity with MicroStation is a plus. Proficiency in preparing layout drawings and schematic diagrams for electrical services, along with knowledge of British & GCC standards, is essential. Good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently without mark-ups, and experience with platforms like BIM360 or Projectwise are desirable attributes.
