Job Title: Assistant Sports Manager Organization: Aspect Sports Department: Sports Operations & Events Location: Mumbai / Hybrid (Travel as per project requirements) Experience Required: 3 - 6+ years Reporting To: Sports Manager / Head Operations Role Overview Aspect Sports is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Sports Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of sports properties, leagues, franchises, and live events. While the core focus of this role is sports operations and logistics , the individual is expected to contribute across multiple domains , including event execution, stakeholder coordination, brand activations, and project management, depending on project requirements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment , understands sports event execution end-to-end, and is keen to grow into a broader sports management role. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Sports Operations & Logistics (Primary Focus) Assist in end-to-end operations planning and execution for leagues, franchises, tournaments, and sports events managed by Aspect Sports. Coordinate logistics, travel, accommodation, venue readiness, equipment, and inventory management . Support preparation and execution of matchdays, event days, and activations , ensuring operational efficiency. Maintain operational checklists, SOPs, and timelines for smooth execution. 2. On-Ground Event Execution Be present on-ground during events to manage vendors, support staff, athletes, officials, and partners . Ensure timely setup, breakdown, and issue resolution during live events. Act as an operations SPOC for assigned projects. 3. Cross-Functional Support (Secondary Focus) Support marketing and brand activation teams with on-ground execution of campaigns and fan engagement activities. Assist in content coordination , matchday coverage requirements, and asset movement. Contribute to scouting events, trials, and grassroots initiatives when required. Assist in coordination with PR, digital, and commercial teams for smooth execution. 4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with vendors, service providers, venue authorities, and local partners . Support negotiations, quotations, and vendor onboarding under senior guidance. Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders across projects. 5. Reporting & Documentation Prepare event reports, operational MIS, cost tracking, and post-event summaries . Maintain records for inventory, manpower deployment, and vendor payments. Support internal reviews and planning documents. Preferred Candidate Profile 36 years of experience in sports operations, event management, or live event execution . Prior exposure to sports leagues, tournaments, franchises, or large-scale events preferred. Strong understanding of on-ground execution, logistics, and vendor management . Ability to multitask and handle pressure in fast-paced environments. Willingness to travel and work extended hours during events. Good communication and coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace . A team player with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn across domains.
