Role & responsibilities We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with strong expertise in data validation, automation, and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python or Spark or Snowflake , and familiarity with at least one cloud environment (AWS or GCP). You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of large-scale data pipelines. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute ETL test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate data transformations and data quality. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and defect analysis across multiple source and target systems. Validate data processing logic in ETL workflows built with Python, Apache Spark, or Snowflake . Develop automation scripts using Python , PySpark, or other test frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage. Collaborate with ETL developers to ensure testability of pipelines and assist in troubleshooting issues in data flows. Work with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3) or GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow) for test execution and validation. Review mapping documents, technical specifications, and data models to design robust test scenarios. Ensure compliance with data quality standards, governance, and security policies. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience as an ETL Tester , Data QA Engineer, or similar role. Strong SQL skills for writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and performance validation. Hands-on experience with Python OR Spark OR Snowflake (any one is mandatory; multiple preferred). Experience working on cloud environments like AWS or GCP . Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL workflows, and data modeling. Experience with test planning, execution, and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions. Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, AWS Glue, or dbt. Knowledge of Snowflake-specific features (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel). Familiarity with PyTest, Robot Framework, or other testing frameworks. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
