Job Title: Accountant Location: TIRIPPUR Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and provide accurate financial data to support business operations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software, possess strong analytical skills, and have a thorough understanding of Indian tax laws. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents. Perform data entry, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and promptly. Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to resolve discrepancies. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, and Cash Flow Statements. Generate periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian tax laws and regulations (e.g., GST, TDS, Income Tax). Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations in India. Auditing & Internal Controls: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and irregularities. Monitor and improve existing accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Payroll & Expenses: Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and timely payments. Oversee expense tracking and reconciliation. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree (M.Com, MBA in Finance) or professional certifications like Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are highly preferred and may be required for senior roles. Other relevant certifications like ACCA or CPA are also valued. Experience: Proven work experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, or Auditor in India. , 2-5 years Skills: Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., TallyPrime, Zoho Books). Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling). Solid understanding of Indian tax laws (GST, Income Tax, TDS). Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
