Role Overview We are looking for a Head of Department – Solid Wood Manufacturing to lead carpentry, assembly, and machining operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of solid wood manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Production & Manpower Management · Plan manpower allocation and maintain discipline on the shop floor · Ensure production targets are met with quality and efficiency · Oversee carpentry, machining, and assembly operations Process & Quality Control · Implement SOPs and ensure process adherence · Monitor quality standards and reduce rework/rejections · Coordinate with QC, design, and procurement teams Infrastructure & Machinery · Oversee machine maintenance, calibration, and uptime · Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety norms Reporting & Coordination · Maintain production reports, output tracking, and daily updates · Coordinate with management for planning and resource needs Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) · Production output vs target · Manpower utilization · Rework and rejection rate · Equipment downtime · Safety incidents · On time delivery Qualifications · Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field · Extensive experience in solid wood furniture manufacturing Skills · Strong technical knowledge of solid wood processes · Leadership and team management · Process improvement mindset · Data driven decision making · Ability to handle high pressure production environments Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location: In person
