Job Title: Technical Field Engineer / Technical Field Manager – Telecom Projects Location: Mumbai Company: Areca Wavelet Communications Pvt. Ltd. As a system integrator, we focus on end-to-end deployment of next-generation communication platforms for sectors such as defense, law enforcement, smart cities, oil & gas, utilities, and transportation . Job Summary We are hiring Technical Field Engineers and Technical Field Managers for our Telecom Projects team. The role involves overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom subsystems at project sites. Selection of Engineer vs. Manager will depend on experience, leadership skills, and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities For Both Roles (Engineer & Manager) Execute and supervise installation of telecom subsystems (CCTV, PA System, Passenger Information, Radio, Cabling, Access Control, etc.) Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports Provide inputs and support to the design team Ensure installation and site work comply with approved drawings, standards, and specifications Perform Testing & Commissioning of telecom subsystems Prepare site checklists, reports, and as-built documentation Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution Maintain safety and quality compliance at site Additional Responsibilities for Field Manager (Senior Role) Plan, manage, and monitor all telecom site activities across stations, depots, and line sections Lead a team of field engineers, technicians, and subcontractors Review installation plans, method statements, and quality documents Coordinate with Project Manager, Design Team, and Client Site Representatives Resolve escalated site issues and provide technical solutions Track site progress and prepare detailed progress/status reports Qualifications & Experience Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering Experience: Engineer: Minimum 5 years in telecom field execution (preferably Rail/Metro projects) Manager: 8–10 years with team-handling and site management experience Skills Required: Hands-on experience in installation, testing, and commissioning Strong knowledge of Metro Rail Telecom subsystems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in demanding field/site environments Vendor and subcontractor coordination Strong documentation & reporting skills Additional Role Description (TETRA Focus) Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to telecom/TETRA systems Provide reliable field service and technical support Coordinate with clients and internal teams for project deliverables Manage technical equipment and ensure proper documentation Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company guidelines Knowledge of TETRA technologies is preferred Project Management certification is an added advantage
