As Head of Maintenance & Projects of SMS & utilities, s/he will be responsible for all Maintenance & Project activities and the job responsibilities as under: Will be responsible for driving the modern maintenance practices and reliability improvement work in Electrical, Utilities and SMS mechanical, by improving and streamlining the present practices with implementation of Reliability improvement plan and QMS under direction of senior experts to achieve the goal of zero breakdowns. Will be responsible for all Maintenance and Project (M&P) execution activities of Steel Melting Shop & utilities in close co-ordination with Central Engineering & Projects the Department tasked to guide the frontline maintenance team for execution of maintenance strategies and projects. Development of an independent Electrical department under M & P to meet present need and future requirement of the company keeping in mind the expansion plans. Currently the company has a 7.5 MVA/33 KV sub-station and to support the expansion plans, company may have to set up a new 132 KV sub-station of 15-20 MVA capacity. As such, the incumbent must be familiar with setting up and management of 132 KV sub-station. She/he should be familiar with TQM, TPM to improve productivity and optimize cost. Will also be responsible for energy conservation measures, energy audit etc. S/he should be a believer and practitioner of quality focused process approach. Should identify the training needs of the team members and organize to impart training to improve the knowledge and skill of the team members. Should be a good leader, capable of attracting, developing and retaining of a good team.
