Application Security Automation Senior Engineer

As an experienced and passionate Application Security Engineer, your role will involve securing web applications, automating security processes, and integrating security into the software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Conducting secure code reviews, static SAST, and dynamic DAST application security testing - Developing and maintaining Python scripts and tools for security automation - Working closely with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines - Performing vulnerability assessments using tools like Qualys WAS and ArmorCode - Analyzing and remediating security issues in web applications and APIs - Maintaining and enhancing security dashboards and reporting mechanisms - Staying updated with the latest application security threats, trends, and best practices In addition to the key responsibilities, you may also have the following additional responsibilities: - Developing value-creating strategies and models for clients to drive innovation, growth, and profitability - Demonstrating good knowledge of software configuration management systems - Keeping abreast of the latest technologies and industry trends - Applying logical thinking and problem-solving skills while collaborating with others - Understanding financial processes for various projects and pricing models - Assessing current processes, identifying improvement areas, and suggesting technology solutions - Demonstrating client interfacing skills - Managing projects and teams effectively The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications: - Strong programming skills, with expertise in Python for automation and tool development - Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and security testing of database interactions - Understanding of web development, including web technologies, frameworks, and architecture Preferred Skills: - Checkmarx for Application Security - Qualys for Vulnerability Management - Google Cloud Armor for GCP - Infrastructure Security - Burp Suite for Mobile Security Testing - Python for OpenSystem applications Please note that the mentioned preferred skills are not mandatory but would be beneficial for the role.,
