About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Apparel Production Manager to oversee the complete garment production process at Polite Society. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage the process from cutting and tailoring through to quality control, while keeping production organised, efficient and aligned with the standards of the brand.

Experience working in a smaller-scale fashion setup is important, as the role requires close involvement across departments and day-to-day problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full production process, from cutting and tailoring to finishing and final quality control.
• Manage and supervise all production departments, ensuring each stage meets the required quality and finishing standards.
• Plan and monitor daily production schedules to ensure styles are completed on time.
• Identify and resolve production issues relating to fit, construction, finishing, workflow and output.
• Work closely with the design team to understand garment requirements and ensure the final product reflects the intended design.
• Monitor workmanship and maintain consistent quality across pieces and collections.
• Keep track of production progress, material usage and wastage, and flag issues that may affect timelines or costs.
• Help build clear, efficient processes across the production unit while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in garment production, preferably within the luxury apparel or fashion industry.
• Hands-on experience overseeing cutting, tailoring, finishing and quality control.
• Previous experience working in a smaller-scale production setup, with direct involvement across multiple departments.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, finishing and production workflows.
• Ability to manage teams, solve problems on the floor and maintain quality while meeting timelines.
• Must be based in Mumbai and able to work on-site.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
