Building and maintain a robust sales pipeline of qualified sales prospects and opportunities to achieve sales targets Positioning of APL Logistics as a global supply chain specialist providing Freight Forwarding, order management and Global transportation solutions to qualified prospects Applying a consultative selling approach to identify pain points and understand customer needs Developing and expanding APLL’s Ocean Freight business through acquisition of new customers, trade lane development, and market penetration. Create compelling value-added logistics solutions with the support of subject matter experts within the business that solve the customer’s supply chain and logistics problems - present, negotiate and win the business Stakeholder management; attending face to face customer meetings to build rapport and trust at all levels within the organization Supporting the customer implementation to ensure successful onboarding of new customers into APLL Supporting customers with end-to-end ocean freight requirements including booking, documentation, equipment planning, and compliance with export/import regulations. Driving growth across key ocean freight lanes and identifying cross-sell opportunities in warehousing, distribution, and value-added services. Providing insight into Regional Customer and Competitor developments. Managing sales leads for India from our Global network and aligning effort with our parent company KWE as and when relevant Regularly updating the CRM (Salesforce) throughout each customer engagement phase for up to date pipeline visibility and accurate sales reporting Qualifications A successful track record in Freight Forwarding, Supply Chain & Logistics new business sales A minimum of 5+ years of commercial sales/business development experience, with at least 3 years specifically in Ocean Freight Experience in Retail & Lifestyle, Consumer, Industrial and Automotive verticals a distinct advantage Experience in solution selling: the positioning of value-added solutions to win order management and global transportation customers Fluency in English & local language(s) Advanced communication and interpersonal skills Strong prospecting, presenting and negotiation skills Ability to successfully network and engage at all levels within an organization. Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills Ability to work well on your own and within a team
Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory records using the companys inventory management system. Monitor stock levels, anticipate shortages and coordinate replenishment as needed. Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely reordering of products. Coordinate cargo or material-handling security procedures for hazardous goods. Order Fulfilment Coordinate the picking, packing and shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Address any discrepancies or issues related to order fulfilment and resolve them promptly. Implement quality control measures to ensure products are properly packaged and labelled. Perform loading, unloading, arranging, moving consolidation and deconsolidation of cargo. For Coordinator/Senior Coordinator, liaise with Customer Service and Support teams and provide progress updates to customers; arrangement for inbound and outbound shipments; check and ensure proper documentations are in placed as per local regulatory requirements (i.e. packing list, BOL etc.). Quality Assurance Inspect and validate stocks (SKUs, colour, size, quantity, defects etc.) against customers orders. Generate supporting documents for non-compliance for follow-up actions. Operational Compliance Ensure workplace safety standards and protocols are adhered to create a safe working environment for all. For Senior Coordinator, they are also tasked to enforce these within the team. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards promptly. Complete all mandatory training in relation to workplace safety (e.g. 5S). Maintain warehouse cleanliness as per local and companys standards. Report all workplace accidents to Supervisor/Manager. Adhere to corporate social responsibility policies for logistics operations. Coordinate resolution of facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems breakdowns to minimize downtime. Report warehouse issues promptly. Stakeholder Management Collaborate with other departments/teams to complete day-to-day responsibilities as required. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth coordination of tasks and timely order processing. Insights and Reporting Generate regular reports and key performance metrics such as order accuracy, shipping times etc. Monitor lapse in delivery services and highlight to Supervisor. Work closely with Supervisor to address performance and service gaps.
