Android QNX Performance Engineer

As a Software Applications Engineer at Qualcomm, you will play a crucial role in profiling, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of complex concurrent applications running on various operating systems like QNX, Linux, and Android on Qualcomm Automotive platforms. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with multiple HW & SW teams, understanding customer use-cases, analyzing performance KPIs of Automotive use-cases, optimizing booting KPIs, and enhancing debugging tools for easy debugging and profiling performance issues. Your key responsibilities will include: - Profiling and analyzing the traces of concurrent applications running on Qualcomm Automotive platforms - Understanding customer use-cases and collaborating with multiple HW & SW teams - Analyzing Performance KPIs of Automotive use-cases and correlating with projections from the systems team - Optimizing booting KPI to meet customer needs - Profiling and analyzing popular benchmarks KPI of CPU/GPU/DDR/IO, etc. - Characterizing and analyzing hypervisor performance - Comparing OS performance and identifying/debugging gaps - Maintaining and publishing a performance dashboard across critical use-cases - Collaborating with global teams to plan and execute performance activities on Auto chipsets - Root-causing performance issues and leading deep-dive debugs of customer use-cases Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering experience, or related work experience.
