Job Overview
We are looking for a strong Android Developer who can independently design, develop, debug, and maintain Android applications. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with Android Java/Kotlin, a strong understanding of Android OS and device-level behavior, and the ability to work confidently on security-sensitive features. This role requires someone who can debug complex Android issues, investigate device-specific problems, take ownership of features, and drive issues to resolution independently.
Key Responsibilities

- Understand and work with Android framework components, lifecycle, background processing, permissions, services, intents, and system-level APIs.
- Investigate and resolve complex device-specific and OS-version-specific issues.
- Debug application crashes, ANRs, unexpected behavior, performance issues, and integration problems.
- Work on Android device security and application security requirements.
- Implement and troubleshoot security-sensitive features such as device validation, emulator/root detection, SIM/device verification, and other security controls.
- Analyze Android logs, stack traces, system behavior, and application behavior to identify root causes.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features and issues from investigation through production resolution.
- Collaborate with backend, QA, product, and engineering teams.
- Evaluate new Android/OS changes and assess application impact.
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable, production-ready code.
- Participate in code reviews and improve development practices.
Must-Have Skills

- Experience investigating device-specific and Android-version-specific issues.
- Good understanding of Android device and application security.
- Ability to analyze Logcat, stack traces, crashes, ANRs, and system-level logs.
- Understanding of permissions, background execution, services, intents, and system restrictions.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming.
- Ability to independently investigate and identify root causes.
- Strong ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical challenges, risks, and solutions.
