Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Delhi, India Industry: Energy / Power / Renewable Energy About the Role: Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a strategic and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function and support the next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will bring deep financial acumen, strong leadership capabilities, and proven experience in the energy, power, or renewable sector in India. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Leadership: Drive the organization’s financial strategy, including long-term planning, capital structure optimization, and risk management. Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, treasury, and working capital management. Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Present financial results and business insights to the Board and other stakeholders. Fundraising & M&A: Lead efforts for equity/debt fundraising, including liaising with investors and managing due diligence processes. Evaluate M&A opportunities in line with business objectives. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all statutory laws and financial regulations, including those related to SEBI, ROC, GST, Direct/Indirect tax, and other regulatory frameworks. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, building a high-performance culture aligned with business goals. ERP & Systems Implementation: Drive digital finance transformation through implementation and optimization of ERP and financial systems. Required Qualifications and Experience: Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; MBA Finance or CPA/CMA is a plus. Minimum 12 years of progressive financial leadership experience. Strong background in the energy/power/renewables industry is essential. Experience in scaling up businesses and working with private equity/investors is preferred.
