About the job Job Title: Server Administrator Experience: Between 4 to 5 years Industry: Financial Services / Capital Markets Job Location Chennai Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Server Administrator with 4–5 years of experience to manage and maintain enterprise server infrastructure at our client’s Chennai Data Center. The ideal candidate will be an expert in VMware and Windows administration, with strong knowledge of storage, backup, and patch management. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, proactive troubleshooting, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Key Responsibilities VMware & Windows Administration : Expert-level management of VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Windows servers. Storage & Backup : Installation, configuration, and administration of storage systems and backup solutions. Active Directory Management : Create and manage users, groups, and policies with advanced expertise. Patch & Upgrade Management : Perform upgrades, patch deployments, and ensure system compliance. Monitoring & Troubleshooting : Proactively monitor server hardware and resolve technical issues. VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing) : Conduct assessments and ensure closure of findings. Hardware Awareness : Maintain knowledge of server hardware components and lifecycle management. Vendor Coordination : Collaborate with vendors for hardware delivery, installation, and support. . Required Skills & Domain Knowledge Strong expertise in Servers, Windows Administration, and Virtual Systems . Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and patch management tools . Proficiency in Active Directory administration . Knowledge of storage systems, backup solutions, and hardware troubleshooting . Familiarity with VAPT processes and closure activities . Certifications (Preferred) Hypervisor Certification (VMware) Windows Certification (MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent Experience 4–5 years of relevant experience in server administration and virtualization. Communication & Coordination Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders. Ability to coordinate with vendors for timely support and hardware delivery.
