Key Responsibilities -
1. HR Business Partnering
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and business leaders to understand workforce priorities and people-related challenges.
- Provide HR guidance on team structure, organizational effectiveness, employee development, and performance issues.
- Support workforce planning, headcount forecasting, and manpower budgeting for technology teams.
- Translate business objectives into actionable HR initiatives.
2. Employee Engagement and Retention
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, skip-level meetings, employee connect sessions, and feedback mechanisms.
- Analyze attrition trends across technology teams and implement targeted retention strategies.
- Identify employee concerns and work with managers to improve team morale and workplace culture.
- Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to identify retention risks.
3. Performance and Talent Management
- Manage the performance appraisal cycle, goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement processes.
- Partner with managers on talent reviews, succession planning, career progression, and internal mobility.
- Support the identification and retention of critical and high-performing technical talent.
- Facilitate development plans for employees across engineering and technology functions.
4. Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances, workplace conflicts, disciplinary matters, and sensitive employee issues.
- Coach managers on people management, feedback conversations, and performance-related concerns.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and fair employee practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and support timely resolution of employee concerns.
5. HR Analytics and Reporting
- Track and analyze headcount, attrition, retention, engagement, absenteeism, and performance metrics.
- Prepare HR dashboards and reports for technology leadership.
- Identify people-related trends and recommend data-driven interventions.
- Monitor regrettable attrition and retention of critical technical talent.
6. HR Operations and Collaboration
- Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Payroll, Learning & Development, and other HR teams.
- Support onboarding, employee confirmation, internal transfers, promotions, and exit processes.
- Drive HR initiatives and process improvements across the technology portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience partnering with technology, software engineering, product development, or IT teams.
- Understanding of technical workforce structures, skill-based career paths, and technology talent retention challenges.
- Strong stakeholder management and employee relations skills.
- Experience with performance management, workforce planning, engagement, and HR analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, HRMS, and HR reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
