Aluminium Production Manager

• You will be overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations in an aluminium plant, foundry, extrusion unit, or fabrication facility. Manage daily production schedules, shop-floor teams, machinery efficiency, and quality control to meet safety and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

F Formulate daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, resource availability, and machine capacity.

Shop-Floor Management

F Direct manufacturing processes—such as aluminium extrusion, casting, Gravity Die Casting (GDC), anodizing, surface finishing, or window/door fabrication.

Equipment & OEE Optimization

F Oversee the operation and preventive maintenance of CNC machines, extrusion presses, anodizing tanks, or melting furnaces to minimize downtime and track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Quality & Scrap Control

F Enforce quality protocols, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for defects or customer complaints, and drive scrap and rework reduction.

Team Leadership & Safety

F Supervise operators and shift supervisors, enforce 5S housekeeping standards, and maintain strict workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

F Collaborate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales teams to align output with project timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

1. B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering with experience of 8 to 15 years of hands-on manufacturing leadership experience in the aluminium or metal-working industry (extrusions, casting, or fabrication).

2. Familiarity with aluminium alloys, thermal/surface treatments, or architectural profiles.

3. 3+ years managing supervisors and production teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

4. Demonstrated success improving quality performance, productivity, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.

5. Strong understanding of quality systems, process improvement, and manufacturing operations.

6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

7. Strong leadership, coaching, employee development & conflict resolution skills.

8. Proven ability to build high-performing and engaged teams.

9. Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement.

10. Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and manufacturing reporting tools.
