Core Responsibilities Image interpretation and diagnosis: Analyze and interpret a variety of medical images, including CT scans, MRIs, performing and interpreting fetal ultrasound scans , and X-rays, to diagnose illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions. Reporting: Prepare detailed and accurate diagnostic reports based on the findings from the imaging studies. Collaboration: Work closely with other physicians and healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information and discuss treatment options. Quality control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of the medical imaging procedures and maintain safety protocols, especially regarding radiation exposure. Patient care: Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans. Procedures: May perform or supervise interventional procedures guided by imaging, such as biopsies or drain placements. Supervision and leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to radiologic technologists and other staff members, ensuring adherence to best practices. Professional development: Stay up-to-date with advancements in imaging technologies and radiology practices through continuous learning. Record keeping: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and findings.
