Design Development: Creating architectural designs, including drawings, models, and specifications, using both traditional and computer-aided design (CAD) software. Project Management: Managing projects, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals, and overseeing construction progress. Technical Expertise: Applying knowledge of building codes, regulations, materials, and construction methods to ensure designs are functional, safe, and compliant. Feasibility Studies: Preparing reports to assess the viability of projects, considering factors like cost, time, and environmental impact. Contract Administration: Developing contract documents for construction work, and managing contracts with contractors and other professionals. Site Visits: Making regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications. Marketing and Business Development: Seeking new work by marketing their services and giving presentations. Adaptation and Problem-Solving: Adjusting plans based on circumstances, resolving issues that arise during construction, and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
