Location: India (Remote / Hybrid) Experience: 10–15+ years Reports to: Founder / Architect IMPORTANT: This is not a conventional product role. This role exists to protect governance integrity, audit defensibility, and technical restraint in a regulated-grade system. Why This Role Exists We are building an independent, audit-grade System of Record for AI-mediated decision exposure, used by Boards, CROs, and Risk Committees. This is governance infrastructure, not a growth SaaS product. The role exists to ensure the system never drifts into advisory, remediation, or optimization territory. Position in the Organization - Authority over product scope, governance language, and execution boundaries - Manages backend and automation engineers (including Krishna) - Works alongside the Architect (who owns the core data model) - Acts as guardian of correctness and governance intent Key Responsibilities 1. Product & Governance Authority - Own governance trigger taxonomy and exposure classifications - Own all language in audit reports, UI, and documentation - Enforce descriptive (not prescriptive) outputs - Explicitly refuse recommendations, remediation, or optimization features 2. Technical Oversight (Non-Architect) - Review backend designs for immutability and append-only enforcement - Prevent UPDATE / DELETE on core records - Block admin override paths and application-level immutability - Gate schema and data-path changes before Architect review 3. Execution Leadership - Translate governance intent into technical tasks - Ensure engineers execute against approved contracts - Stop shortcuts and escalate architectural decisions upward 4. Audit Product Delivery (Phase 1) - Deliver AI Decision Exposure Audit v1 - Evidence register and governance trigger mapping - Oversight gap statement - Board-safe PDF outputs (no dashboards) Required Experience (Non-Negotiable) - 10+ years in product, governance, risk, compliance, or audit systems - Experience with regulated institutions (banking, insurance, payments, wealth) - Exposure to audits, regulatory exams, or risk committees - Ability to read backend designs and identify audit risk Strong Plus - Experience with GRC or risk platforms - Prior interaction with CROs or compliance leadership - Track record of stopping unsafe features from shipping Mindset Requirements - Comfortable saying no - Values correctness over speed - Believes constraints are features - Skeptical of AI hype What You Will NOT Do - No growth experiments - No AI model building - No recommendations or remediation logic - No customer promises outside evidence Why This Role Matters This role determines whether the platform survives audit scrutiny and earns board-level trust.
