Role Description Akaya Engineering LLP (a Joint Venture with Dehu Group ) in looking a passionate, detail-oriented and meticulous talent for the role of Design Manager. The Design Engineer will be responsible for leading and supervising the design team in the execution of engineering deliverables for Boiler and EPC projects, with a strong focus on AFBC/CFBC technologies and TG & RG systems. The role demands expertise in mechanical design, compliance with IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations), and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project execution. Location: New Delhi Key Responsibilities Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for boilers, pressure parts, and auxiliaries. Ensure optimal design solutions for AFBC/CFBC boilers, TG (Turbine Generator) & RG (Rotating Gear) systems. Lead and mentor the design team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Ensure strict compliance with IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations) and other applicable international codes/standards (ASME). Collaborate with EPC teams, procurement, and site execution teams to resolve design-related issues. Qualifications B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering 5–10 years of relevant experience in Boiler & EPC projects, with strong exposure to AFBC/CFBC boiler design and TG & RG systems Hands-on experience in design software In-depth knowledge of boiler design principles, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics Strong understanding of IBR compliance, pressure part design, and fabrication practices Familiarity with EPC project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning Salary: Up to INR 70,000 monthly
