Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at Ajay Enterprises. Responsibilities Design and develop fabrication processes for various materials, ensuring efficiency and quality across production lines. Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting of fabrication techniques, implementing corrective actions to improve yields. Collaborate with product design teams to assess manufacturability and provide feedback on design specifications. Implement and optimize manufacturing processes using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and increase productivity. Lead the development of process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in fabrication techniques. Required and Preferred Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in fabrication engineering, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for process design and analysis. Experience with fabrication techniques such as welding, machining, and additive manufacturing. Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems. Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Experience with automation and robotics in fabrication processes. Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to fabrication. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies Deep expertise in CAD applications such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Knowledge of materials science and properties relevant to fabrication processes. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality assurance methodologies.
